In this course you will learn the entire digital workflow to plan and place an implant accurately on live patients. Learn from over 10 Years of Implant Surgical Experience with Dr Hamid Al-Hassiny in this unique course in which you will go through the entire workflow including Intraoral Scanning, CBCT, Implant Planning, Implant Guide Design, 3D Printing, and Guided Implant Placement.

During this Live Patient Training you will be taught key aspects of Implant Planning and Placement including:
One on One Training
You will be mentored by experienced dentists who will guide you clinically and give you real world feedback and insights into Implant Dentistry.
Live Patient Hands-On
You will apply everything you are taught about Implant Surgery in a Real Clinic Setting with patients provided for you to practice.

This course focuses on comprehensive CPD rather than placing many implants blindly. We are here to teach you the entire digital workflow and to carefully understand Implant Planning and Surgical Guidelines. By the end of the course you will be involved in the placement of at least 4 implant fixtures and you will have a strong grasp of implant theory, planning and surgical placement.

Day One
Lectures on implant placement and theory
Hands-On Full Mouth TRIOS Scanning on a Live Patient
Taking a CBCT on a Live Patient
Interpretation of CBCT and key considerations
Implant Planning using 3Shape Implant Studio
Implant Guide Design using 3Shape Implant Studio
Implant Guide Fabrication using FormLabs 3D Printer
Day Two
Lecture on Implant Surgery and Key Considerations
Lecture on Flap design, Suturing and Soft tissue manipulation
Supervised Implant Surgeries using Fabricated Guides from Day One
Attendees will work in pairs, taking turns at assisting and therefore each attendee will be involved in the placement of at least 4 implants.
Gingival grafting and bone grafting as the cases allow
Placement of Healing Abutments/Cover Screws
Patients will be provided and have been pre-assessed for suitability by Dr Hamid.
Surgical kits and equipment for the placement of dental implants and all dental instruments/consumables will be provided

Dr Hamid Al-Hassiny
Digital Dentist and CAD/CAM Educator
Dr Hamid Al-Hassiny has been practising dentistry in New Zealand for over twenty years. He runs a state of the art 8-chair dental practice in Wellington, New Zealand and is dedicated to utilising the most advanced dental technology.
Dr Hamid has been placing dental implants for over 10 years. He is accredited by the ICOI. Over this time he has placed more than 1000 implants. He has advanced experience with multiple different implant systems including Biohorizons, Nobel Biocare, Neoss and Straumann. Dr Hamid is an early adopter of CAD/CAM and digital dentistry and has been using this technology for many years for in-house implant planning and guide fabrication. He has advanced experience in both guided and freehand implant surgery.
Upon completing this fundamental course, you will gain an in-depth understanding of each implant dentistry and have extensive hands-on experience in the practical application of guided implant surgery.
Dr Ahmad Al-Hassiny is a driven and passionate dentist who has a strong focus on the digital workflow. Graduating from the University of Otago in 2015 with First Class Honours and being awarded many clinical and Research prizes, he has continued his pursuit of excellence in dentistry.
Dr Ahmad is fortunate to adopt CAD/CAM and digital dentistry very early on in his dental career which has allowed him to focus on developing his skills in this field. Dr Ahmad understands the benefits of digital dentistry and how this can positively change daily dental practice. He has carried out and has been involved in many aspects of complex dentistry including CAD/CAM full mouth rehabilitation and digital smile design.
Dr Ahmad will be assisting participants in the CAD side of implant surgery including Full Mouth Scanning, Guide Planning and Fabrication using 3D Printers.

The course is held in our own modern 8-chair dental clinic. This allows you to practice implant placement in a real-life clinic environment. The entire digital workflow is carried out within dental surgeries and we will explore the equipment we use daily in our practice to ensure a smooth workflow. This also allows for practising Intra-Oral scanning on Dental Chairs!
