Exciting news! There is a new intraoral scanner on the horizon!

Medit has just announced their next and flagship intraoral scanner via email and their social media accounts...

*drum roll*

The Medit i900.

The company writes that "the new Medit i900 is almost here. Join us on April 29th for the global launch and be the first to revolutionize your dental practice. Sign up now to stay ahead" Linking to their teaser page at www.medit.com/medit-i900-teaser

I was fortunate to be included in the beta-test of the Medit i900 and have been reviewing extensively in the clinic.

I have to say, it is pretty impressive. Super fast scan speeds and very lightweight. Totally new hardware is built into the i900 and it is an interesting direction for the company given their last release (the Medit i700 wireless).

I want to share more but I am under NDA. The embargo will soon be released and I look forward to sharing all the information and new features of this intraoral scanner.

Everything will be revealed in 20 days and at iDD, we will keep you updated for sure with unboxings, overviews and complete reviews. For now, the company also released this teaser video:

On the teaser site, the Medit team included some of my words on the i900. This is a huge honour, thanks guys!

More interestingly for you, I have included some of the testimonials on that website as they provide insights on some of the features of this new intraoral scanner.

So thats everything so far!

It seems like it is going to be a big year for the intraoral scanner market as this is the second big release this year from a prominent digital dentistry company - the first being the iTero Lumina just released a few weeks ago.

I am curious to see how the market responds to the i900 and if it will have the same meteoric rise as the i700 before it.

Whats your thoughts? If you have any questions about the i900 leave them below 🙂
